Best mason bee house on the market. I have 4 others types. These tubes are the exact right size and the bees from my big house started moving into this one—filling it within 5 days! Cherry blossoms are open and I have hundreds of mason bees trying to nest. I have had mason bees for the past 5 years. Bought another one of these today. Great quality. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT value for a fine product! The cost of just the straws and tubes are more than what I paid for this whole kit! The sturdy nesting box has a nice overhang to protect from the elements and there is just enough space for the straws and a little landing pad for the bees. The straws and cardboard tubes fit perfectly and come assembled. Done wasting money on straws and cardboard tubes that are the wrong size.We’ve had more luck with placing our nesting boxes vertically to increase stability. Attached a simple ceiling hook to hang off of one nail placed on our covered porch post. Reinforced with zip ties to keep it snug. Decorated the house with Posca markers as I read that Blue Orchard Mason bees can see blue and green colors best. Added a few full straws from other nesting boxes to help get attention from the mason bees.

After a month of waiting the bees have decided to use this hotel. I have tried lots of different ones and this one seems to fit the criteria of being the best sort for bees. The inner cardboard tubes enable easy removal and replacement when necessary. The cedar wood it is made from has a good longevity and no predators can get in from the back. I have been using bee hotels for over 10 yea4s and this one seems the best so far. I look forward to next spring when I can welcome the new bees to my garden.
